Featured Home of the Month: Our New Provence Home, the Rustic Pont du Gard

It has been quite some time since we have been able to announce such news, but we have finally found another lovely home in the Provence region we are proud to add to our books!

Have a look at what we found:

This newly restored farmhouse provides guests with modern comfort while enjoying the country charm.  The traditional features of this airy stone house remain, however, along with the fully equipped kitchen and the large outdoor shaded terrace giving to the pool making this an oasis for those days you want to sit back and relax or a perfect place to unwind after a day of site seeing.  With five bedrooms and bathrooms, it is perfect for large groups, but gives plenty of space for alone time if needed.

Located in the heart of the lively village, Vers-Pont-du-Gard, this charming city offers many great restaurants, cafes, open air markets, and, of course, wine of the region, which you can buy direct from the kitchen door of a local vineyard.  It also acts as a perfect starting point to reach desirable tourist sites and is a stone’s throw away from the Pont du Gard, an ancient Roman Aqueduct that is now listed as a World Heritage site.

Alex – the Pont du Garde property is extraordinary and a very reasonable price. But, it’s 5 BR and 5 Baths. Our problem is always finding a small place for the two of us, with a pool and all the equipment you listed. Are you aware of any of those? 2 or 3 BR would be okay, I enjoy your blog and especially like your “helpful hints” about how to get along in France. Your comments are excellent and will help Americans enjoy their visits much more.

    1. Hi Tom,

Happy to hear you have been enjoying the blog. Do note that we have a great selection of houses to choose from in the Provence region. I personally would suggest our Vallon Provence property as it is an apartment attached to a larger manor house. It can be viewed on our website here: http://www.alacarte-paris-apartments.com/en/rent-aubignan-apartment-2-rooms-50158/

Should you have any questions or would like to ask about availability, please don’t hesitate to contact our bookings manager Katy at bookings@alacarteparis.com.

  2. Pont du Garde is a lovely home in the Provence region, which is perfect for large groups. Unbelievable that this farm house offers modern comfort in a country charm.
